NewCatch BV - Developing sustainable fish reproduction

   NewCatch BV has developed a tool for use in sustainable
   aquaculture. The tool will first be used for reproduction of the
   highly valued fish species eel, pikeperch and sole.

   We seek industrial/aquaculture partners interested in obtaining
   a license for ZF-implants in other fish species.

Breeding innovations

NewCatch BV carries out fish reproductive research, for instance European eel (Anguilla anguilla), exploring maturation and reproduction.

ZF-screens has its own research facilities to study reproductive biology in several fish species.

The wild-catch of fish is declining rapidly while the demand for fish is steady increasing. This gap could be filled by aquaculture, provided that current technology in aquaculture will improve.

ZF-implant® is our leading product which can enable fish farmers to control fish reproduction in the near future.
